Design Preparation:

Prepare files according to the specifications:

  • .pdf, .jpg, or .tif extension
  • Min. resolution 300 dpi
  • CMYK space
  • Fonts converted to outlines
  • Convert all patterns, shadows, and transparencies to bitmaps

BLEEDS – Add 3 mm to each side of each design (so-called bleeds). Bleed is the process of extending elements that extend to the edge of the design after trimming (i.e., the gross format).

SAFETY AREA – Place text or important graphics (e.g., logos) that are not background graphics in a safe area, offset 3 mm from the trim edge.
